The Messiah watch

The year was 4 BC  In reality it was the day the world would change forever.  The place was a little village of Bethlehem about 6 miles south east of Jerusalem the heart of the Jewish society at the time.  It was on this night that a band of priests arrived from the East.  These priests were decedents of the Prophet Daniel.  They came to inquire about the foretold King of Israel.  yes they had been following a light that had led them to Jerusalem and there they spoke with King Harrods' family and the wisest men in Jerusalem as to where the foretold king of Israel was to be born.  After a search of the ancient scrolls they were told it would be in the City of David,  Bethlehem.

We all have heard the story of that night and the Angels appearing to the Sheppard's and how the "wise men" came bearing gifts and imparted wisdom to the young mother and the father of the King to be.  Now....the rest of the story.....

Yes there were gifts that were brought and yes GOLD Frankincense and myrrh were among the wealthiest of the gifts.  These wise men told Mary how special Jesus would be and what her responsibility was to this Savoir to the world.  Yes the gifts were to help the young mother to raise the baby Jesus and to keep him safe.  These decedents of Daniel were the head of the group of Jewish followers who were looking for the coming Messiah as was prophesied in the Holy scriptures.  They had been in constant prayer and  preparation for this day for the past 200 years.  They had a compound that was built to study and there were scribes who had been writing all that had been foretold in the testament and keeping it safe at this fortified oases of a compound which was named Qumran.   It is here that My story starts.  Yes my name is Matthias and I was born at Qumran, and I remember that night as if it were yesterday.  I was 8 years old and we had been alerted that this night would be the most wonderful night the world would ever experience.  We were so excited.   No we really did not know what was going to happen.  We were told to face Jerusalem and wait. Now my family and all the families at Qumran had been waiting for 200 years since we first settled here.  We were devoted to the coming MESSIAH!
